Mrs. Peggy Latrell Johnson , age 79 of the Ann Street neighborhood in St. Marys, Ga. passed away on Thursday, February 23rd, 2017 at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fl.
Mrs. Johnson was born on March 25th, 1937 in Bristol. Ga. She is the daughter of the late Dalton & Maude Carter Rogers.
Mrs. Johnson was a loving wife, mother, sister, mother in law, and grandmother. She never met a stranger and was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She had pride and enjoyment growing plants and flowers. She especially enjoyed her Friday night get togethers with friends. But, her favorite pastime was spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her children, Lori A. (Matt) Johnson of St. Marys, Ga., Reggie (Cathy) Johnson of Kingsland, Ga. and David (Dee) Johnson of St. Marys, Ga.; her brother, Ronnie (Geraldine) Roger of Waycross, Ga.; her grandchildren, Nikki (Scott) Tucker, Cody (Kimberly) Johnson, Kayla (Vickie) Johnson, Haleigh (Jake) Carter and Miranda (Roy) Johnson; and her great- grandchildren, Ashlyn Taylor, Braelyn Ralph, Lily Johnson, Tenley Johnson, Boe Carter and Cheyenne Carter.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Johnson joins her beloved husband, William Revis Johnson in Heaven.
A visitation will begin at 11am on Tuesday, February 28th, 2017 at Westside Baptist Church in St. Marys, Ga. Funeral services will follow there at 12 noon with Pastor Mark Gentry presiding. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys, Ga. following the funeral service.
Pallbearers will be Andy Rogers, Jason Rogers, Roger Pate, Cody Johnson, Jake Carter & Ricky Wimpey. Honorary pallbearers will be Lamar Warren, Tommy King, Charles Ulmer and the men of Westside Baptist Church.
