Ms. Phyllis Jean Walker , age 75 of Woodbine, Ga., passed away in the evening hours of Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Ga.
Ms. Walker was born in Huntington, West Virginia on December 21, 1939 to the late John and Helen Travis Ball. Ms. Walker was an avid animal lover and was someone who made friends quickly with everybody she met. She made her home with her brother, John in Woodbine, Georgia’s Harriett’s Bluff community. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her best.
Ms. Walker is survived by her brother, John Ratcliff of Woodbine, Ga., and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Ms. Walker joins her beloved husband, John Walker, her sister, Rosemary Stephens, and her brother, Harold Ratcliff in Heaven.
Calling hours for Ms. Walker will be from 4 PM to 5 PM Friday, January 16, 2015 in the Wainwright Chapel of the funeral home with the funeral service immediately following. Interment will be held at a later date at Docks Creek Cemetery in Kenova, West Virginia.
