Mrs. Rebecca Freeman Clemons, made a sudden transition to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 9, 2013 at Spalding Regional Hospital of Griffin, GA.
Mrs. Rebecca was born on April 4, 1924 in Wewahitchka, FL to the late Mary Lucille Holmes and the late Frank Freeman. She joined and was baptized at the New Hope Baptist Church in Hugh Creek Community of Blountstown, FL. She remained a loyal member until she moved to Griffin, GA in 1962 and joined Achaia Baptist Church. She faithfully served as usher until her health declined.
Mrs. Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Clemons, Sr.; daughter, Lizzie Baker; son, Owen Blaine; granddaughter, Gail Baker; sons-in-law, Rev. Larry Ward, Judge Baker, Jr.; 2sisters and one brother. She leaves to cherish her loving memories her children, Clyde and Renee Blaine; Kathy (Pat) Ward, Lonnie and Bernice Clemons, Jr.; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Frances Robinson of Panama City, FL, Rosetta Saunders of Orlando, FL, Leola Everett of Blountstown, FL, and Maeola Boyd of Newark, NJ; a host of nieces nephews, numerous cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends.
