Mrs. Rebecca Simmons Herrera , age 57 of Kingsland, Ga. passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, September 30 th , 2017 at Baptist Health in Jacksonville, Fl.
Mrs. Herrera was born August 12 th , 1960 in Washington, D.C. to the late Herbert and Eva Simmons.
Her husband said of her, “Rebecca, or Becky as she was known to most, was an amazing woman. She was married to me for 34 years. She was my rock while I was in the Navy and after. She was the perfect partner that I was blessed with. She was a tough woman, who dealt with various illnesses, for 33 years of our marriage. I admire the strength she had and the love she gave her family through all her suffering. She loved her children and grandchildren with everything in her. I cannot express the love I have for her. She was everything to me. I will miss her dearly.”
Mrs. Herrera is survived by her beloved husband, Howard Herrera of Kingsland, Ga.; her daughters, Christina Moreno of Missouri, Brittany (Michael) Purslow, and Jade Herrera, all of Kingsland, Ga.; her son, Adam (Hali) Herrera of Kingsland, Ga.; her sisters, Marcella (Eddie) Lloyd of Boca Raton, Fl., Margaret Russell and Patricia Christ, both of Missouri; her brother, Robert Simmons of Saluda, SC.; and her grandchildren, Amoriana, Kimmie, Jayden, Percephani, Parker, Havoc, Matthias.
Memorial Services will be held by the family at a later date.
