Rev. J.A. ‘Junior’ Williams , age 85 0f Kingsland, Ga. passed away at his residence on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 3 rd , 2018.
Rev. Williams was born on July 18 th , 1932 in Corning, Arkansas. He is the son of the late Harvey &Myrtle Leonard Williams. Rev. Williams was married to the love of his life, the late Charlene Barbara Parker Williams for 67 years. He was a carpenter by trade, but his dedication to God was the most important part of him. He has preached for over 60 years in Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia. He was recently honored by the United Pentecostal Church for his 5o plus years of dedicated and faithful service. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He will be remembered as a loving, gentle and kind man that loved God and his family.
Rev. Williams is survived by his son, Michael (Rhonda) Williams of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; his sister, Ava Reeves of St. Augustine, Fl.; his sister–in–law, Margaret Fowler; his grandchildren; Steven Lightfoot, Allen (Amber) Williams & Keri Williams; his great grandchildren, Ashton (Justin) Emory, Austin Williams, MacKenzie Williams & McGuire Williams; and his great-great grandchildren, Kolt & Kyson Emery.
Along with his parents, Rev. Williams joins his beloved wife, Charlene; his daughters, Tena Lightfoot & Brenda Brownlow; his sisters, Louise Clemmons & Emma Jones; his brothers, Johnny & Floyd Williams; and his grandson, Lamar Davis in Heaven’s bounty.
Calling hours for Rev. William’s family will be from 10:30 to 11:30 am Saturday, July 7th, 2018 at the First United Pentecostal Church of Kingsland. A service will follow immediately at the church with Pastor Edward J. Flader presiding. Interment will be held at Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga. Members of the congregation and Mrs. Williams grandsons, Steven Lightfoo, Austin Williams and Allen Williams will serve as pallbearers.
