Richard L Clevenger

Mr. Richard L. Clevenger, age 71, of St. Marys, Ga. passed away on January 1st, 2026 in Brunswick, Ga. Mr. Clevenger was born on September 7th, 1954 in Somerset, Pa.

He worked as a professor at Georgetown University and worked for over 30 years as a social worker. Richard loved education, history, and travel.

Mr. Clevenger is survived by his siblings, Warren Tressler, Wayne Tressler, Dane Tressler, Brenda Keslar, Vicki Barkley, Maxine Fulton, and Joanie Pitts; his uncle, James Shawley; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Loretta S. (Shawley) Shipley and his brother, Dale Tressler.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
