Mr. Richard Rusher, age 93, of Griffin, formerly of Wichita, KS, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Heritage Inn Nursing Home in Barnesville.
Mr. Rusher was born in Wichita, KS on October 28, 1922 to the late William and Fern Rusher. He was also preceded in death by his wife Nadine Rusher, daughter Alice Tholl, brothers Neal and Dale Rusher and sister Norma Jean Holmes. He made his living as a machinist in Wichita. He was also a deacon and member of Carver Road Baptist Church of Griffin.
Mr. Rusher is survived by daughter Dalene McCallister and her husband Bill, of Griffin; grandchildren Nicole and Todd James of Griffin, Deborah and Jimmy White of Griffin, David Tholl of San Antonio, TX, Douglas Tholl, Toby Tholl, Christy Sereika and Tom Tholl, all from Dallas, TX; ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A graveside funeral service for Mr. Richard Rusher will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Westwood Gardens in Griffin. Reverend Tom Summers will officiate. Friends may visit the family from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Carver Road Baptist Church, 334 Carver Road, Griffin, GA 30224. The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Sunny Grove Assisted Living and Heritage Inn of Barnesville for the love and care given to Mr. Rusher during his time with them.
