Mr. Robert L. Barkley, age 69, of Griffin, GA, was called home on Saturday, March 15, 2014.
Mr. Barkley was born in Griffin on June 21, 1944 to the late Willy Gault Leaks and the late Charlie Lois Barkley. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robert Kevin King; brothers, David Elliott and Larry Elliott; sister, Janet Elliott; step-mother, Willie Ruth Leaks; aunts, Lessie Kate Leaks, Sue Mae Leaks, Mildred Leaks Fletcher, and Shirley Leaks Lawson; uncles, Elgin, Hayward, and Robert Lee “Rabbit” Leaks.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Crystal Barkley; daughter, Joyelle Hines; sons, Roger Lewis Taylor and Rodrick Antonio Barkley and his mother, Elizabeth Dallas; step-sons, Kevin and Keith Forney; grandchildren, Tiffany S. Hardy, Tiffany S. Taylor, Samantha J. Taylor, and Quinton D. Taylor; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda Elliott and Mary Elliott; brothers, Harold, Willy, and Kenny Elliott; aunt, Nannie Mae Leaks; uncle, Clinton “Bubba” Leaks.
Memorial services for Mr. Robert L. Barkley will be conducted on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 2pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home.
