Robert Bridgwood

Mr. Robert “Mr. Bob” Francis Bridgwood, age 76 of Kingsland, Ga., passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, September 4th, 2025, surrounded by his family in Jacksonville, Fl.

Mr. Bridgwood was born on July 6th, 1949, in Brockton, Ma. to the late Donald and Aletha Bridgwood.

Mr. Bridgwood is survived by his wife of 43 years, Cheryl Bridgwood of Kingsland, GA; his children, Katherine Bridgwood of Tiffin, OH. and Daniel Bridgwood of Kingsland, GA.; his brother, William Bridgwood of Exeter, NH.; his grandchildren, James, Leslee, Cody, Haley and Nellie; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents Mr. Bridgwood was preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Young and his best pal dog Rusty.

Robert attended three different trade schools for woodworking, auto body repair and culinary arts. Robert worked for the Enterprise Newspaper for 17 years in Brockton Ma before retiring to Kinsland GA in 2004.

Robert was a Royal Rangers Leader for many years at the Brockton Assembly of God Church before moving to Kingsland Ga and becoming a member of Kingsland First Baptist Church.

He loved gardening, fixing up his yard and cooking. Robert changed his garage into an art studio where he enjoyed painting and displaying pictures of landscapes and scenery for himself and family members.

Roberts’ many passions included classic cars, coin collecting, watching old westerns and caring for his dogs George and Charlie.
