Robert Griggs

Mr. Robert “Bob” Carr Griggs , age 64, passed away Sunday, April 16 th , 2017 at his home in Kingsland, GA.
Mr. Griggs was born November 26 th , 1952 in Newport News, Virginia to the late Joseph Lee and Emma Carr Griggs. His family said of him, “Bob was a man of few words, but when he spoke everyone listened. He was devoted to his wife of 40 years, and was ever supportive and dedicated to the happiness of his 3 daughters. The love of his grandchildren brought more smiles than we knew he had.” He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Griggs is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Griggs; his daughters, Amy (Ralph) Melton and Kathy Yarborough, all of Kingsland, GA and Stephanie Griggs of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Mackenzie Melton, Madison Melton, and AJ Yarborough; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Mr. Griggs joins his sister, Shanna Lee Griggs Richardson and grandson, Luke Allen Yarborough in Heaven.
Calling hours for the Griggs Family will be from 6 pm to 8 pm Wednesday, April 19 th , 2017 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home. A service will be at 11 am Thursday, April 20 th , 2017 at Kingsland First Baptist Church with Pastor Brian Parker presiding. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys, GA. Todd Richardson, WC Turner, Robert Birt, Marc Wainright, Matthew Turner, and Jason Helman will serve as Pallbearers. AJ Yarborough will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
