Robert Mark Pittman, 60, passed away on January 16

, 2024, in Keaton Beach, FL. Mark was born on August 3
rd
, 1961, in St. Mary’s, GA to Robert “Bob” and Irma Pittman. He was a beloved uncle, brother, and friend.
Mark, as most knew him as, was a local to Camden County, growing up in St. Mary’s. He worked in the carpentry shop at the Gilman Paper Company, until its closing in 2002. Mark retired to Keaton Beach/Steinhatchee, FL and enjoyed the relaxing fishing community. He loved watching sunsets and playing bingo on Wednesdays. He had an adventurous life and was enjoying the slow-paced retirement life.
Mark is survived by his nephew, Phillip Rowell, whom he lived with for 19 years along with Phillip’s wife, Kimberly Rowell, and their children, Savannah and Brant Rowell. Mark also leaves behind five sisters, Lynn Lawhorn, Leslie Bruce, Laura Skipper, Cindy (Steve) May and Charlee (Dan) Tillotson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Bob” and Irma Pittman, of St. Mary’s, GA.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Methodist Church Chapel on Saturday, January 27
th
, 2024, at 11:00am followed by graveside burial at Oak Grove Cemetery to honor and celebrate his life. Pall bearers are Jarrod Bennett, Logan Bennett, Terry Blount, Ricky Sparkman, Rusty Spikes, and Steve Williams.
