Rocky Fridolfson

Mr. Rodney Lee “Rocky” Fridolfson, age 60, passed away on June 29th, 2022 in Woodbine, Ga.

Mr. Fridolfson was born May 21st, 1962 in Emmetsburg, Ia. to Sharon Kay Fridolfson and the late Ralph Thomas Fridolfson.
Rocky, as he was known to most, loved riding his motorcycles, four wheelers, and using all of his equipment around the property, especially to dig the pond in the backyard. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs and Iowa Hawkeyes college football teams. Rocky would travel when he could and loved trying new foods, but if he was home, he loved cooking and smoking meat on his smokers. He had a special place in his heart for all animals, but especially for his golden retriever, Buddy and his boxer, Lacey Mae. For those who knew Rocky, they knew he played just as hard as he worked. Most knew him from always seeing him at Tire Mart, which was his biggest accomplishment, as he had been there for almost 40 years. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Fridolfson is survived by his long-time girlfriend, Stevie Gilbert of Woodbine, Ga.; his mother, Sharon Fridolfson of Woodbine, Ga.; his sister, Deedee Fridolfson of Woodbine, Ga.; his brothers, Todd Fridolfson of Woodbine, Ga., Wayne (Kelly) Fridolfson of Statesville, Nc., and Mark Fridolfson of Ia.

Besides his father, he was also preceded in passing by his brother, Steven Fridolfson.

A visitation will be from 6 pm to 9 pm Friday, July 1st, 2022 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga. Funeral services will be at 11 am Saturday, July 2nd, 2022 in the Woods-Wainwright Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Brian Parker presiding. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in Rocky’s name to the Camden County Humane Society.
