Rubeana Major

Reverend Rubeana H. Major, age 55, of Stockbridge, GA, passed away on April 24, 2014 at Vitas Hospice.

Rubeana was born on September 9, 1958 in Columbus, OH. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis G. Hoard; sister, Tonya Hoard and mother-in-law, Sylvia Ann Major. Rubeana’s love for her Savior was shown throughout her ministries, which included prisons, music, and missionary work. She traveled to many places singing and preaching of God’s love. She was also a member of 2BFREE Ministries.

Rubeana is survived by her husband, Victor Kevin Major; mother, Betty J. Rickman; sisters, Coreliece D. Putman, Denise Adams, and Ivy Dials; father-in-law, Donald C. Major; sisters-in-law, Tammie Lynn Brazil, Alicia Faye Giannasca, Faith Jossette Gresham; brothers-in-law, Lonnie Cleveland Major and Donald Allen Major; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral Services for Reverend Rubeana H. Major will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 11am in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Reverend Vanessa Milligan will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 6-8pm at the funeral home and again on Monday from 10am until the service hour.
