Mrs. Ruby Mae McCormick, age 78 formerly of Orchard Hill, GA, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 in Conyers, GA.
Mrs. McCormick was born in Cherokee County, Georgia on March 11, 1934 to the late Alfred Chadwick and the late Anna Chadwick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene McCormick; daughter, Lisa McCormick; sisters, Agnes Hillhouse, Wylene Brock, and Jeanette Sindorf and brothers, Lee Chadwick and Lindzey Chadwick. Mrs. McCormick was a homemaker and a member of Orchard Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Eugene Leonard (Mac) McCormick Jr. and wife Janet of Forsyth, GA; daughters, Elizabeth Brumbalow and husband Mark of Conyers, GA; Rita Standard and husband Donnie of Zebulon, GA; sisters, Rachel Hawkins of Pike County, GA, and Bettie Mays of Griffin, GA; 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby McCormick will be conducted on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Pastor Mark Brumbalow and Pastor Nelson Grist will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
