Mrs. Ruby Williams

Mrs. Ruby Williams, age 74, of Griffin, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Eternal Hope Hospice in Griffin.
Mrs. Ruby Howard Williams was born to the late Clarence and Willie Mae Howard on December 6, 1941 in Greenwood, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Williams; three sisters: fraternal twin Ruth Dumas, Sara Reed and Mary Whatley; two brothers: Bobby Howard and Willie Frank Howard. She passed peacefully from this life the morning of July 12, 2016.
Ruby was a member of Eighth Street Baptist Church and was educated in the Griffin Spalding County School System. She was employed at the Fort Benning U. S. Army Military Base as a Food Service Specialist Lead for many years. She was dearly loved by her family, friends, and neighbors.
She leaves to cherish her memories, three sons: Michael (Thresa), Brandon (Mattie) and Cedric, all of Griffin, GA; two daughters: Trellis Howard of Covington, GA and Trenia Howard of Griffin, GA; seven grandchildren NaKeisha Cummings, Tenedra Shelby, Waldrell Howard, LaBrandian Jenkins, Chasity Brown, Joshua Howard, and Jamias Brown; nine great grandchildren; one sister: Martha Mathews of Atlanta, GA; one sister-in-law: Betty Howard of Cleveland, OH; and one brother-in-law: David Dumas of Griffin, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Williams will be held Monday, July 18, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit with the family Sunday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
