Mrs. Sherri Lee Rogers Pittman , 47 of Woodbine passed away unexpectedly Friday night March 11, 2011 at Southeast Ga Health System in St. Marys.
Mrs. Pittman was born in Folkston, Ga on January 21, 1964. She is the daughter of the Margie Crews Spence. She was a beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend.
Mrs. Pittman is survived by her husband, Edwin Dillon Pittman of Woodbine, Ga; her son, Donovan Gatlin and his fiancé Crystal Lynn Drain of Kingsland, Ga; her daughter, Margie Gail Pittman and her fiancé Michael Christopher Shores of Kingsland, Ga; her mother, Margie Crews Spence of Augusta, Ga; her brothers, Jed David Spence and Melvin David Spence of Augusta, Ga; her grandmother, Leo Prevatt of Brunswick, Ga.; her grandchildren, Donovan Joseph Gatlin, Jr., Christian Mathew Gatlin, Elizabeth Cheyanne Salis, Rebecca Fay Drain, Ethan Ernest Drain, and Michael Christopher Shores, Jr. all of Kingsland, Ga. She was preceded in death by her father, Jed David Spence and her grandfather, Kenneth Prevatt.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 9 PM Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home. Graveside services will start at 11:30 AM, Monday, March 14, 2011 at New Hope Cemetery in the Hickox community in Nahunta, Ga with Pastor Mike Lee of the Folkston Church of God presiding. The honorary pallbearers will be Donovan Joseph Gatlin, Sr., Melvin Spence, David Spence, Phillip Marr, Sr., Michael Marr, Jr. and Joseph Marr.
