Mrs. Shirlene Tackett Mason, age 77, of Griffin, GA passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at Macon Coliseum Medical Center
Mrs. Mason was born on July 23, 1937 in McDowell, KY to the late Claude Tackett and the late Clara Caudill Tackett. She was also preceded in death by her sister Velteva Hine, brothers Lester, Estill, and Ronnie Dean Tackett. She was an Executive Secretary to the Vice President at Cheseborough Ponds, and later was Administrative Assistant to the University of Oklahoma before resigning to assist with her elderly parents. She loved to paint and work with ceramics.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Mason of Sandy Springs and Mark Mason of Griffin; grandson, David Mason of Tennessee; sister Geneva Stone of Milner, and brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Carol Tackett of Griffin; several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private celebration of her life at a later date.
