Ms. Shirley Kathleen Lang , age 64, of Kingsland, Ga. passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 16 th , 2019 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, Ga.
Ms. Lang was born on December 28 th , 1954
in Jacksonville, Fl. She was the
daughter of the late Agnes Rodgers Gainey and Eldon Woolard, Sr.
She was a part of a huge blended family of seven
children which included six girls and one boy. Kathy was an avid lover of animals, especially
her beloved dog, Lillie and was beyond proud of her lovely flower garden. But
her pride and joy were her three beautiful granddaughters, which she never
missed an opportunity to brag on. They were her angels! She enjoyed a good meal
at Sonny’s or St. Marys Steak and Seafood, but mainly liked good homemade
cooking from “mom’s”. She also liked taking lots of pictures and listening to
music and tv. Ms. Lang will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ms. Lang is survived by her son, Jameson Duane Shirley
of Silverhill, Al.; her father, Eldon, Sr. and “mom”, Jane G. Woolard; her
siblings, Agnes Elaine Woolard and Lynn (Kevin) Lentz all of St. Marys, Ga.,
Amy Brown of Nc., Melissa (Vaughn) Rowland and Eldon (Deborah) Woolard, Jr.,
all of Brunswick, Ga., and Nancy (Brian) Harrell of Merritt Island, Fl.; her
grandchildren, Veronica Lenee (John) Webster of Jacksonville, Nc., Alexandria Faith
Shirley, and Cerra Monette Shirley of Al.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in passing by her mother, Agnes
Rodgers Gainey and her daughter-in-law, Lisa Shirley.
A graveside service for Ms. Lang will be at 10 am
Tuesday, June 18 th , 2019 in Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial
