Shirley Trucks

Mrs. Shirley Elizabeth Bryant Trucks , age 77 of St. Marys, Ga. passed away on the afternoon of Thursday, August 29th, 2013 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Ga.
Mrs. Trucks was born on November 3rd, 1935 in Nashville, Tennessee. She is the daughter of the late Thurman and Lena Elizabeth Wilkerson Bryant. Her family shared that Shirley graduated from Miami Edison High School in Miami, Florida in 1953. Later that year, she married Phil E. Trucks and they started their family two years later. Shirley had one daughter and three sons. She was a devoted mother and full time wife. Shirley and Phil were married for 43 years until Phil’s untimely passing in 1996. After her children were grown, Shirley began working at a printing company, which she enjoyed very much. Shirley also enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. Shirley’s children, grandchildren and beloved pets were the center of her life. Shirley also has several nieces and nephews that call her “their favorite aunt”. Shirley was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Trucks is survived by her children; Phillis Brown and her husband Samuel of Kingsland, and Phil E. Trucks, Jr. and his wife Edyth of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.; her sister, Lucille Hamilton and her husband, Jack of Zolfo Springs, Fl.; her brother, James Bryant and his wife Rose of Lauderdale Lakes, Fl., her grandchildren, Shaun Trucks, Erin Brown Goff, Josie Moore, Tiffany Trucks and Melissa Trucks; her great grandchildren, Haven and Kylee Trucks, and River Goff; and her very special tail wagger, Bud.
Beside her parents, Mrs. Trucks joins her husband, Phil E. Trucks, Sr., her sons, Donald and John Trucks, and her sister, Katherine Combs in Heaven.
A memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, September 7th, 2013 in the Wainwright Chapel in Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga. with Pastor Steven Smith presiding.
