Shirley Williams

Mrs. Shirley Ann Williams, 66 years young of Griffin, GA departed this life on Friday, November 27, 2015. She was born on June 4, 1949 in Forsyth, GA to the late Albert Chambliss Sr. and Martha Williams. Also, she was preceded in death by two brothers; Albert Chambliss and Ricky Chambliss.
At an early age she joined the Eighth Street Baptist Church. Shirley attended Fairmont High School in Griffin Spalding County. She worked for Springs Textile Mill the majority of her adult life before retiring. Shirley joined her hand in marriage to Eddie Lee Williams in 1987. Together they have six children.
She leaves to mourn her passing, husband Eddie L. Williams; four daughters, Cheryl Gerty, Celista Thurman, Meshon Patrick (Joseph), Atrecia Williams; two sons, Darren Williams & Marcus Williams all of Griffin, GA. She is survived by four sisters, Annie (E. L. Thomas) Lyons, Forsyth GA, Jeanette Taylor, Malisia (Anthony) Puckett, Setina Swanson and one brother Sammy (Renae) Williams all of Griffin, GA. Brother– in –laws, Buddy Williams, Jacob Combs Jr., Willie Combs (Detroit MI), Leon Combs (LaGrange, GA) Billy Combs & Danny (Tammy) Combs. Sister –in – laws; JoAnn Hairston (Douglasville, GA), Garris Johnson (Chicago, IL), Mary (Jimmy) Spear, Nellie Rolley & Kay (Willie) Crawford; a host of grandchildren, great – grands, nieces, nephews and friends.
