Sibye Thomas

Mrs. Sibye Beatrice Thomas , age 87 of Woodbine, Ga. passed away at her residence on Sunday, November 13 th , 2016.
Mrs. Thomas was born in Washington, DC on December 7 th , 1928. She is the daughter of the late Lillian Mae Leonards and Jack Izear Harrison. Mrs. Thomas’s family shared, “She was a woman of many talents, loved working with her hands and a model homemaker. Her family meant the world to her. She enjoyed cooking, baking and decorating cakes for any occasion, sewing, crocheting, planting flowers and making flower arrangements. She modeled her life around God, loved her church and church family.” She will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by her children and their spouses, Macy & Buddy Miller of Woodbine, Ga., Penny & Jim Miller of Kingsland, Ga. and Johnny & Wendy Thomas of St. Marys, Ga.; her grandchildren and their spouses, Tammy & Richard Mains of Kingsland, Ga., Wendy & Bobby Woods of Kingsland, Ga., Jody & Amanda Miller of St. Marys, Ga., Erik & Jennifer Miller of Kingsland, Ga., Daniel & Taylor O’Neal of Woodbine, Ga., Devon & Robbie Carter of Kingsland, Ga., Stephen & Payton O’Neal of Woodbine, Ga. and Amber Carter of Jacksonville, Fl.; her 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Thomas joins her husband, Elmer William Thomas; her daughter, Carrie L. Carter; her sisters, Macy & brother in law, Huey H. Small, Dilly Harrison; and her brother, Johnny B. Harrison in Heaven.
`Calling hours for the Thomas family will be from 6 to 8 pm on Tuesday, November 15 th , 2016 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, November 16 th , 2016 at Forest View Baptist Church in Woodbine, Ga. with Pastor Jody Davis and Pastor Bobby Woods presiding. Active pallbearers will be Stephen & Daniel O’Neal, Jody & Erik Miller, Devon Carter and Bobby Troupe. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael, Johnny & Josh Keller. Interment will follow in Homeward Cemetery in Waverly, Ga.
