Stephen Collins of St. Mary’s Georgia passed away in his home December 19, 2024 with his loving wife and children by his side. He was born in Livermore Falls, ME on December 22, 1945 to Illda and Antonio Collins of Lewiston, ME.
Steve was preceded in death by his sister Jolene, brother Gary and his parents.
Steve is survived by his wife Paula Collins, Daughter Terry Bradbury and husband Jeff of Anderson South Carolina, Son John Barry and wife Michelle of Jacksonville Florida, Son Dan Collins and wife Tara of Canon City, Colorado, Daughter Lisa Alessi and husband Scott of Turner Maine. Grandsons Chase Boven of Quincy Massachusetts, Cole Laliberte of Framingham Massachusetts, Wade Boven of Spring Lake Michigan, Taten Dullum, his wife Joan of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jordan Dullum of Beaufort, South Carolina and a great granddaughter, Hiraya Dullum of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Brothers, Paul Collins of Myrtle Beach South Carolina, Brian Collins of Auburn ME, Brenda Palmer of San Diego CA and Randy Collins of Lewiston Maine.
Steve had a great life growing up in Lewiston Maine surrounded by a large family of six siblings. He was a hard worker who had a very successful business until the age of 75. He was a vintage car enthusiast and enjoyed spending time at auto shows with friends and family, all part of his passion for collecting many of his favorites over the years. Spending time vacationing in Maine on Moosehead Lake, camping, visiting with family and eating his favorite Maine foods was always a highlight over the years. Steve had a love for sports but mostly the Boston Red Sox and NASCAR racing. Another of Steve’s passions was for his pets. Most recently his dog Logan, who was truly man’s best friend and was by his side 24 hours a day until the end.
Steve was a loving and devoted father to his children. Always being sure they had everything that they needed and loving them unconditionally their whole lives.
A celebration of life is scheduled on February 1, 2025, in Turner, Maine where he will be surrounded by his friends and family one last time. For information on this event please contact his wife or children.
