Stephen Gilmore

Mr. Steven Wayne Gilmore, Sr. , 56 of Townsend passed away at his sister’s residence in the evening hours on Saturday, March 6th, 2010.
Mr. Gilmore was a native of Montgomery County, Maryland. He was born in Bethesda on December 16th, 1953. He was the son of the late George Richard Gilmore and Mary E. Newton Michie. Mr. Gilmore was a printing press operator for Pacemaker Press for over 15 years. He was also a telephone book deliveryman, distributing over 250,000 books in just a few months in Frederick County, Maryland. Stephen was an avid horse aficionado, loved football, especially the Redskins, NASCAR racing including Dale Jarrett and could play a mean hand of Texas holdem. He had recently come to live with his sister due to his illness. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his children, Emily Gilmore and Steven Wayne Gilmore, Jr. of Sharpsburg, MD; by his mother, Mary E. Michie of Hagerstown, Md.; his sisters, Brenda Steiner of Townsend, GA and Linda Schrack of Gaithersburg, MD; his brother, Jeff Gilmore of Carbondale, CO.; and his nephews, James Steiner of Falun, Sweden, Jonathan and Christopher Steiner of Townsend and Brett Schrack of Gaithersburg, Md.
Private services will be held by the family.
