Mr. Stephen H. Lee, age 30, of Griffin, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016.
Mr. Lee was born on December 25, 1985, in Griffin, GA. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Herbert and Bell Walker and Silas and Elvera Lee. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America at the age of 14 and accepted Jesus Christ as his savior at age 15. He was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church and the American Welding Society. He specialized in boiler makers and tube welding and took great pride in his work. Stephen was a ladies’ man, a man’s man, and a good friend to those that knew him. He loved life, people, cars, trucks, the South, his family, and had a contagious laugh and smile that will always be remembered.
He is survived by his parents, Sam and Nancy Lee; brother and sister-in-love Travis and Paige Lee; favorite niece, Ivy Lee; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Mr. Stephen H. Lee will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church. Pastor Mike Barnes will officiate. Interment will follow in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to New Salem Baptist Church, 57 Bicycle Road, Griffin, GA 30223 in memory of Mr. Lee.
