Mr. Steven (Steve) Lawrence Ryder, age 43 of Folkston Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 5th 2015 on the Camden County side of Folkston, Ga.
He was born July 25th 1972 in Naval Port Hueneme, California. He is the son of the late Ruth Corine Hayward Ryder and David William Ryder. Steve lived in Buffalo, NY until he was ten then moved to Groton, CT., where he graduated from Fitch High School. He has spent the last 5 years living in Georgia. Steve was a mechanic. He loved working on cars and loved his 1981 Pontiac Firebird. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bike riding. He had a great personality, always had everyone laughing. Steve will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Steve was survived by his 3 loving children, Steven Ryder, age 13 of Gales Ferry, CT., Samantha Ryder, age 21 of Stonington, CT., and Jonathan Ryder, age 23 of Norwich, CT.; his brother, Gary John Ryder of Buffalo, NY; and his nieces and nephews, Vanasah Ryder, Zachary Ryder, Bryan Ryder, and NaCoal Ryder.
Along with his parents, Steve is preceded in passing by his brother, Rodney Andrew Ryder and his sister, Dorothy Jo Ryder.
Private funeral services for Mr. Ryder will be held at a later date.
