Sylvia Leverett

Mrs. Sylvia Maxine Brooks Leverett , age 65 of Lynwood Street in Kingsland, passed away on the afternoon of Monday, November 19th, 2012 at Shands Medical Center in Jacksonville, Fl.
Mrs. Leverett was born in Hastings, Fl. on April 20th, 1947. She is the daughter of the late Luther and Lillie Bell Wilkinson Brooks. Mrs. Leverett was a dutiful home maker and caring mother who made sure to provide for her family over her own needs. Besides the deep care she provided for her family, Mrs. Leverett carried that love over to animals. Her daughter Tressa spoke of her mother that “she would go out of her way to provide any animal with love and comfort if it was within her power”. Mrs. Leverett was of the Baptist faith.
Mrs. Leverett is survived by her daughter Tressa Brooks-Diamond of Kingsland; her sisters and their husbands, Shirley and Carl Stoeffler of St. Marys, and Elizabeth and Robert Balazi, of Kingsland; her brother, Claude Brooks and his wife, Debra of Mt. Grove, Mo., and Luther Brooks, Jr. and his wife, Winnell of Antioch, Tennessee; and her grandchildren, Bianca and Bailey Diamond.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Leverett was preceded in passing by her beloved husband, Charles Wade Leverett.
A celebration of Mrs. Leverett’s life will be held at 7 PM on Thursday, November 29th, 2012 in the Wainwright Chapel in the funeral home.
