Taionne Blunt

May 11, 1991 — June 24, 2025

Taionne Haneef Blunt was born on May 11, 1991, and on the morning of June 24, 2025, his radiant light was dimmed far too soon. A deeply compassionate and empathetic soul, Taionne’s greatest passion in life was his family, whom he cherished with unwavering devotion. His babies, Kassidy Danielle and Gabrieal Marquice Blunt, and common law wife Kourtney Chapman now have memories of Taionne etched into their hearts and minds and are eternally connected to him spiritually. They were the greatest pleasures he possessed in life and fulfilled his dream of creating a beautiful loving family along with Kourtney. Yonnie, what his mother lovingly called him, had a wonderful childhood. He was born in Albany, New York but soon after was relocated to Orlando, Florida. It was there that he spent his toddler years before his mom and dad Cardetra and Ralph Taylor moved the family to Camden County Georgia. Taionne experienced many memorable boyhood activities there along with his brothers Tiriek Blunt (his twin) and Marquise Tas who preceded him in death, such as being a member of The Boy Scouts of America, playing middle school football, wrestling in high school, cheerleading, dancing, acquiring a fondness for anime and aspirations of becoming a nurse; a testament of his caring and protective nature. In middle school, Taionne met and fell in love with his life partner Kourtney and settled in Atlanta Georgia where they began and raised their family. They shared joyous gatherings that yielded beautiful memories of togetherness and love with family and friends before they moved to Jacksonville, Florida. Those memories will never allow the light of Taionne’s being, the warmth of his smile; the presence of his character, and the heart-felt love that he continuously displayed to the people he cared for the most to ever be extinguished. Aside from those mentioned, Taionne is survived by his bio logical father, Timothy Blunt, great-grandfather, James Lockett; grandmother, Rosa and Leroy Howard; sisters, Marquita Johnson, Kanosha Taylor, Neochee, and Delvi Hernandez; aunts, Demetra and Shemeaka Johnson, and Ameaka and Ronald Valentine; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members and friends in Atlanta.
