Mr. Terrell Joseph Carter , 57, of St. Marys passed away after a short illness Wednesday, August 24th, 2016 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick, GA.
Mr. Carter was born December 5th, 1958 in Folkston, GA. to Wanda Riddle Carter and the late Joseph Horace Carter.
Mr. Carter loved to spend time with his grandmother Geneva at the farm in Baxley, GA. He enjoyed bass fishing and hunting. He was employed at Gilman Paper Company for 25 years. He also graduated from Altamaha Technical School.
Mr. Carter is survived by his mother, Wanda Carter of St. Marys, GA.; his sister, Alvenia “BG” (Jerry) Banks of Brunswick, GA.; his brothers, Rex (Julie) Carter of St. Marys, GA., Jason (Juanita) Carter of Harriett’s Bluff, GA., and Judson (Rose) Carter of Albany, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides his father, Mr. Carter joins his grandmother, Geneva Davis Smith in Heaven.
Calling hours for Mr. Carter will be from 11 AM to 12 noon Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at the Lighthouse Church of God. A service will follow at noon with Pastor Bobby Woods presiding. A private burial will be held later. Pallbearers will be Blake Manning, Adam Riddle, Jake Carter, Brett Carter, Josh Carter, and John Bennett.
The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial donations in his honor be made to help with funeral expenses.
