Mr. Terry Allen Crews , age 60 of Woodbine, Ga. passed away at his residence in the early morning hours of Tuesday, November 11th, 2014.
Mr. Crews was born May 20, 1954 in Waycross, Ga. to the late Clyde Allen and Frances O’Berry Crews.
His family said of him, “He was the boss man of the Crews Clan. He was very a hardworking man as both a shrimper and an underground pipe superintendent with a large construction company. Even more, he loved his family and friends. He enjoyed racing cars. As he grew older, he still loved to be the boss from his table at home, and believe it, he got a lot done from that old table. He was #1 to his family and friends and always will be.” He will be greatly missed by both his family and friends.
Mr. Crews is survived by his beloved wife, Frances C. Crews, of Woodbine; his daughter, LaVerne CHandler (Jerald Minchew) of Woodbine; his sons, Clyde A. Crews, II, Donnie (Erica) Crews, and Edwin (Teresa) Griffin, all of Woodbine; his sisters, Jan Griffin of Yulee, Fl.; Maria Lloyd of Folkston, Ga., and April Tanner, of Kingsland, Ga.; his grandchildren, Dalila, Cathy, Albert, Rachel, Rachael, Billy Jr., Logan, Mandy, Jeromy, Misty, Tiffany, Eddie, Lily, Julieann, Andi, Arielle, Edwin Jr., Donnie Allen, Janice, Amber, Bridgette, and Corey; his ten great-grandchildren; and lots and lots of loving nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Mr. Crews was preceded in passing by is sisters, Tina Hand and Cathy Crews and his brothers, Edwin Crews.
A graveside visitation in Colesburg Cemetery in Woodbine, Ga. will be held from noon until 12:45 PM on Saturday, November 15th, 2014. Funeral services will follow there at 1 PM with Rev. Chuck Harris & Rev. Justin Ray presiding. Honorary Pallbearers will be Billy Lindsey, CC Higgenbothem, Danny Jewell, Jr., Corey Higgenbothem, Thomas Cottle, Jerald Minchew, Jimmy Larrison, and Mitch Taft.
