Mr. Terry Lee Johnson, age 54, of Griffin, GA passed away Friday, October 9, 2015 at Spalding Regional Hospital.
Mr. Johnson was born in Griffin, GA, on October 2, 1961 to the late William Johnson and Virginia Matthews. He was preceded in death by his step father Joe Louis Matthews, who raised him as his own. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother Lucille Peeples; his brother Charles Johnson; and sisters Teresa Johnson and Vicky Johnson.
Mr. Johnson attended Griffin High School. He was a committed member of a twelve step fellowship program and a member of St. Luke Overcoming Church of God.
He leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife Marcia L. Johnson; daughters Shequita LaShay Richardson and Jayla Johnson; sons and daughters-in-law, Corderio and Monique Stroud, Terriez and Tia Stroud and Jaylan Johnson; grandchildren, Xzayvianya, Moriah, Terriez, Jr., Ta’rez, Micah, and Zoriah Stroud; sisters, Linda Johnson and Tammy Milner; brothers, George Phillips, William Johnson, Koosman and Regina Matthews; father-in-law and mother-in-law Winford and Naomi Stroud; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rhonda and Kenny Sims; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Hassan and Cherise Stroud; uncle and aunt George and Patricia Peeples; special friend, Jamella Alexander; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many close friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Terry Lee Johnson will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Reverend Koosman Matthews will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Thursday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
