CSM. Thomas Richard Dyer, age 68, passed away the morning of October 25th, 2015 at his home in Kingsland, GA.
CSM. Dyer was born November 2nd, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Harold and Mary Hughes Dyer.
His wife said of him, “Tom was the kindest most loving and compassionate man I ever met. He was always quick with a corny joke and loved to make people laugh. In the fifteen years we were married, we had very few disagreements; he always admitted I was right (haha). He said every day how much he loved me and what a wonderful wife I was, and I hope he was right. I took the best care of him that I could and I loved him dearly. He was so good natured and always quick to lend a hand to those less fortunate. He loved his children but thought I spoiled them and on that point he was probably right, but he always let me have my way so he was guilty of spoiling me. His service to his country was what he was most proud of and being in the army was the biggest part of his life. He had so many medals that stood to his character and showed the true nature of his character. I will miss his bear hugs and our talks. He was my best friend and I am thankful for the short time I had with him. He did his best to give me everything I wanted but always managed to give me what I needed, lots of love.”
CSM. Dyer is survived by his beloved wife, Terry A. Dyer of Kingsland; his daughters, Wendy Graham of Kingsland, GA, Malia (Bryant) Skinner of Eagle River, AK, Christina Dyer of Eagle River, AK, and Lorraine Dyer of Greensboro, NC; his sister, Susan Linton of Tullahoma, TN; his grandchildren, Tierenny Graham (Daymeon Scheider), Victor Dyer, Kian Skinner, Jamison Skinner, Conlan Skinner, and Brandon Wade; and his great- granddaughter, Lilly Addison Scheider.
Besides his parents, CSM. Dyer was preceded in death by his grandson, Trevor Graham.
