Mrs. Velma Lee McCutchen was born to the late Charles and Julia World on January 31 st , 1953 in Stuart, Florida. She transcended on May 2 nd , 2018 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Ga surrounded by her family.
Her family said of her, “Velma was Sammie’s first and only true love. She was a remarkable mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was best known for her sweet potato pies. Velma was a nurse, loved her crossword puzzles, and reading novels. Velma had the biggest heart that touched everyone and will forever be loved and missed until we meet again, fly on Sweet Angel.”
She leaves to cherish her memory, her long and devoted husband of 47 years, Sammie McCutchen, Jr; her daughters, Apostle Vernadette World of Jacksonville, Fl., Felissa (Jerry) Stephens of St. Marys, Ga., Syretta McCutchen of Kingsland, Ga.; her son, Santell McCutchen of Kingsland, Ga. and Marvin (Adreanne) Jones of Jacksonville, Fl.; and her 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Mrs. McCutchen joins her adopted mother, Lille Mae Fischer and her daughter, Sharona McCutchen who passed September 11 th , 2014, in Heaven.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am Tuesday May 15 th , 2018 in the Woods-Wainwright Chapel of Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland, Ga with Pastor Hamm presiding.
