Vern Smith

Mr. Vern Smith, age 82, of Williamson, GA, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at Atlanta Medical Center.

Mr. Smith was born in Pike County, GA, on April 22, 1932 to the late Marion Luther Smith and Mary Ruth Smith. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Larry Smith and Danny Smith. He was a barber with 62 years of service. He owned and operated Esquire Barber Shop in Griffin for 40 plus years.

Survivors include his companion, Mrs. Ann Pait; daughters, Judy Corley of Griffin, GA, Tracy Smith Schaffer and Allen of Austell, GA; son, Terry and Gail Smith of Griffin, GA; step-daughters, Sue Grimsley of Lilburn, GA, Wanda Hayes of Sherman, TX; grandchildren, Cory and Amanda Smith of Macon, GA, T.J. and Ryan Yancey of Griffin, GA; great-grandchildren, Reya Smith, Emery Smith and Jackson Yancey; sister, Edna Jones and Kenneth of Milner, GA; brothers, Lamar and Jeannette Smith of Griffin, GA, Bill and Anne Smith of Stockbridge, GA; several nieces and nephews and his loyal dog Pepper.
