Virgil Donini

Mr. Virgil Donini, age 91, passed away on the evening of Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 in St. Marys, Ga.
Mr. Donini was born on August 13th, 1931 in Colliers, WV. to the late Virgilio and Virginia Eori Donini.
Mr. Donini graduated from Wellsburg High School in WV. After graduation, he worked starting up power plants for various companies on the east coast out to the mid-west. He married the love of his life, Mrs. Evelyn Hernandez in May of 1950 and they shared life and love together until her passing in 2002. Early on, he was a commercial shrimper, along with his brothers, helping to build it into a very successful business. Afterwards, he started work at Kraft Bag in St. Marys, Ga. and became a senior engineer of the power plant of Gilman Paper Company in St. Marys, Ga. for 38 years. Ever the entrepreneur, he and his family started Donini’s Florist and Nursery in April of 1964 and have served Camden County and the surrounding area with beautiful arrangements for all occasions for 58 plus years. He loved to share his knowledge of horticulture to anyone in need of advice. Mr. Donini became a proud and faithful member of Masonic Lodge #109 in St. Marys, Ga. starting in 1967. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Mr. Donini is survived by his children, and James R. Walker, Jr. of Kingsland, Ga., Joseph V. Donini of Fernandina Beach, Fl., and Michelle Donini Bellisle of St. Marys, Ga.; his grandchildren, Chris Bellisle, and Caroline Donini; his great-grandchildren, Bailey Bellisle and Chase Bellisle; and numerous nieces, nephews, & cousins.
Along with his parents, Mr. Donini was preceded in passing by his wife, Evelyn Hernandez Donini; his sister, Mildred Spears; brothers, his brothers, John Donini and Ernest Donini; and his grandson, Jackson Donini.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Monday, January 2nd, 2022 in Oak Grove Cemetery in St. Marys, Ga. with full Masonic Rite honors to be rendered.
