Walid Yousef Eid, age 47, courageously fought brain cancer for 7 months at Emory’s Cancer Center in Decatur, GA and passed away on May 2, 2014.
He was one of five children born to Yousef Eid and Samia Shalhoub. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Y. Eid.
Walid was generous and loving and will forever be remembered by his siblings, Rita Roman, Ghassan Eid, and Marwan Eid; nieces and nephews and many more family and friends whom were blessed to know him. He maintained his trademark character and sense of humor to the end.
Friends may visit the family from 12-1pm on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Maronite Church 502 Seminole Ave. Atlanta, GA 30307. Funeral services for Mr. Walid Eid will be held immediately following the visitation at the church. Relatives and friends are welcome at the mercy meal, following the services, at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Joseph’s Maronite Church.
