Walter O'Neal

Mr. Walter Ray O’Neal, age 76 of Griffin, passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at Regency Hospital in Atlanta.
Mr. O’Neal was born on October 29, 1935 in Rowan County North Carolina to the late Henry Crisco and the late Maggie O’Neal. He was also preceded in death by his children, Maggie Frances O’Neal, Donnie Wayne O’Neal and infant daughter, Amber Melanie O’Neal. Mr. O’Neal was a truck driver for many years with Swift Independent.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Reinhardt O’Neal of Griffin; sons and daughter-in-law, Jerry Ray and Patricia Ann O’Neal of Orchard Hill and Freddie Allen O’Neal of Hampton; grandchildren, Kelsey Paige, Ashley Megan and Tiffany Brooke O’Neal; brothers, Jerry Mullis and William “Sonny” Mullis of North Carolina; sisters, Kay Gearing, Betty Crowley, Jean Tucker, and Joanne Bowman all of North Carolina.
Funeral services for Mr. Walter O’Neal will be conducted Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Pastor Don Sansbury will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
