Mr. Wayne Slay, age 51, of Villa Rica, GA passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016.
Mr. Slay was born on December 19, 1964 in Austell, GA to Thomas James Slay and the late Peggy Ellison Adams. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and uncle. Mr. Slay was a truck driver by trade, an avid sports fan, and loved watching UGA football, the Braves, Falcons, and NASCAR. He also enjoyed fishing, country music and working with his hands. He never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.
Mr. Slay is survived by his father and step-mother, Thomas and Denise Slay of Senoia, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Candra and Sean Murphy of Acworth, GA, son and girlfriend, Trevor Slay and Amanda Barry of Nashua, NH, daughter, Amanda Slay of Dallas, GA, son, Adam Slay of Dallas, GA, sister and brother-in-law, Sherrie Chaffin and Tony of Jacksonville, FL, sister and brother-in-law, Shana Slay and Ryan Smith of Senoia, GA, brother and sister-in-law, Christopher and Michelle Slay of Newnan, GA, brother and sister-in-law, Chuck and Ginger Ferguson of Dora, AL; his grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Southern Ground (www.campsouthernground.org) in memory of Mr. Slay.
