Wilbur Readdick

Mr. Wilbur Frazier Readdick , age 98 of St. Marys, Ga., passed away on Wednesday, July 31 st , 2019 at Southeast Georgia Health System surrounded by his family.



Mr. Readdick was born on October 21 st ,
1920 in Woodbine, Ga. to the late Frazier and Rosalie Readdick. He married his
“Susie Q” on July 23, 1949 and the couple recently celebrated 70 years of
marriage, love, and “good sugar.”



Mr. Readdick will always be remembered as the true patriarch
of his family because he lived by example.




Mr. Readdick is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce
Readdick of St. Marys, Ga.; his sister, Kathleen Readdick Hall of St. Johns,
Fl.; his daughter, Teresa (John) McDill of Kingsland, Ga.; his son, Rocky
(Linda) Readdick of Kingsland, Ga.; his daughter-in-law, Teresa Readdick of
Kingsland, Ga.; his grandchildren, Brandy (Lane) McConnell, Jonathan (Erin)
McDill, Trevor (Nicole) Readdick, Gregory (Kathryn) Jackson, and Phelan
Readdick; and his great grandchildren, Carrigan McConnell, Readdick “Reed”
McDill, and Frazier Readdick.



Besides his parents, Mr. Readdick also joins his
sons, W. Gary Readdick and Glenn F. Readdick and many cherished siblings,
relatives and friends in Heaven.



Calling hours for the Readdick family will be from 10 am to 11:30 am Saturday, August 3 rd , 2019 at Kingsland First Baptist Church, 295 E. Chester Street in Kingsland, Ga.  Funeral Services for Mr. Readdick will follow immediately starting at 11:30 am with Pastor Brian Parker presiding. Interment will be held at 2:30 pm Saturday, August 3 rd , 2019 at Brazell-Peeples Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga. with military honors. Rocky Readdick, Trevor Readdick, John McDill, Jonathan McDill, Gregory Jackson, Phelan Readdick, John Miller, and Chris Wainwright will serve as Pallbearers.



In lieu of flowers, the family requests that
donations be made in Mr. Readdick’s name to the charity of your choice or to
someone in need, as he would always do.
