William Aldridge

Mr. W. Robert “Buddy” Aldridge , age 84 of Kingsland, Ga. passed away unexpectedly on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Aldridge was born on May 14, 1931 in Blackshear, Ga. He is the son of the late America Linda Gill and Isham Aldridge, Jr. Mr. Aldridge was a proud member of the US Army during the Korean War era, attaining the rank of Corporal before his honorable discharge. After his service time he married Mattie M. Melton in 1954 and they have shared life and love for over 60 years. Mr. Aldridge was a machine adjuster at Gilman/ Kraft Bag with over 34 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a good provider, husband and father. He will be greatly missed by both his family and friends.
Mr. Aldridge is survived by his wife, Mattie Aldridge, his sons and their spouses, Randy W. & Darlene Aldridge and Ricky & Mary Aldridge, all of Kingsland, Ga., his sisters, Ruthie Mae Sapp of Blackshear, Ga. and Doris Roundtree of Patterson, Ga.; his brothers, Grady Eugene Aldridge of Louisville, Tx, Lonnie Aldridge of Jacksonville, Fl. and Walter Aldridge of Blackshear, Ga. ; his grandchildren, Charity Spurlock, Buck Aldridge, Randy J-I Aldridge, and Scotty Braddock; and his seven great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, Mr. Aldridge joins his daughter, Linda Diane Aldridge Rowe in Heaven.
Calling hours for the Aldridge family will be from 5 to 8 PM Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Coastal Camden Funeral Home in Kingsland. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10 AM in the Wainwright Chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Sammy Spradley presiding. Pall bearers will be Scotty Braddock, Buck Aldridge, Randy J-I Aldridge, Dewayne Aldridge, Ikey Aldridge, Ronald Bell, and Donald Bell. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Cemetery in Kingsland, Ga. with military honors.
