Mr. William “Bill” Garlin Jones passed away in the morning hours of October 21 st , 2017 at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, Ga. after a long and courageous battle with an illness.
Bill was born December 17 th , 1955 in Dearborn, Michigan to the late William and Anna Jones. He joined the U.S. Navy shortly after high school where he traveled the world. Along the way he met the love of his life, Barbara Mills Jones. They shared 35 wonderful years together raising two kids, a son, Kenny and daughter, Tracy. After 13 faithful years in the Navy, Bill continued in a career that enabled him to travel the world while serving his country as a defense contractor.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara Mills Jones of St. Marys, Ga.; his children, Kenny Jones of Naples, Italy and Tracy Jones Wilcox of Aurora, Colorado; his grandchildren, Ke’ala and Del of Aurora, Colorado, who he loved and adored; and his sisters, Deborah, Karen, and Linda; and his brother, Michael.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held in Valparaiso, Indiana this spring, but those wishing to, may send flowers and condolences to Coastal Camden Funeral Home, 935 E. King Avenue Kingsland, GA 31548.
