Mr. William Paul “Bill” Matejowsky, age 83, of Locust Grove, GA, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015.
Bill was born in Schwertner, Texas, on February 19, 1931 to the late Paul A. Matejowsky and the late Juanita Webster Matejowsky. He was also preceded in death by his brothers-in-law Robert Bruce Wayson and Donald Houston Reed. He grew up in Prairie Dell Baptist Church in Prairie Dell, Texas and was a current member of The Covenant Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Texas.
Survivors include his wife Pearl Opal Hoover Matejowsky; daughters Victoria Lynn Gladden of Locust Grove, Iolet Juanita Turner of Locust Grove, and Trudy Faith and Frank Hinkley of Griffin; son W. P. “Billy” and Deborah Matejowsky, Jr. of Schwertner, Texas; sisters Wanda Lou Wayson of Old Town, Florida and Shirley Faith Reed of Hillsboro, Texas; 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends; and his sweet dogs Bo and PupPup. He also recently lost his loving companion Shadow.
Funeral service for Mr. William Paul Matejowsky will be held Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Reverend Tim Conort will officiate. Friends can visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. until the service hour. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Salado Cemetery in Salado, Texas.
