Mr. William Bert Peyton, age 74, of Griffin, GA, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Brightmoor Hospice.
Mr. Peyton was born on February 19, 1940 in Eastland, TX to the late Bert Peyton and the late Lillian Peyton. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lee Portwood Peyton and his sister, Joan Goode. Mr. Peyton was a member of Teamon Baptist Church. He loved to hunt and fish and belonged to the Quail Ridge Hunting Club.
Mr. Peyton is survived by his wife, Bonnie Long Peyton of Griffin; sons and daughter-in-law, Dexter and Vala Peyton of Peachtree City, Brinson Peyton of Griffin and grandchildren, Brandon and Brent Peyton.
The family is planning a memorial service at a future date. The family asks that donations be made to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption Attn: Development Office 716 Mt. Airyshire Blvd., Suite 100 Columbus, OH 43235 in Mr. Peyton’s name.
