Mr. William Lamar Polk, age 69, of Waynesville, GA formerly of Griffin passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 in Brunswick, GA.

Mr. Polk was born in Griffin on November 25, 1947 to the late Lt. Henry Lamar Polk and the late Dovie Jones Polk. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Emma Jones and Lon and Mae Polk; and son, William Christian Polk.

Mr. Polk is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Brooksie Michelle Polk Jackson and Rodney; grandson and his wife, Jeffrey and Jessica Peppers; great-grandson, Brantley Peppers; brother, Michael Stevens Polk; sister and brother-in-law, Ann Polk Johnson and Jim; special niece and nephews, Lauren Johnson, James Allen Johnson and his wife Christen, Jacob Lamar Johnson, Michael Stevens Polk and Austin Murray Polk; best friend Gary Moore; and many cousins.
