William Wiggins

Mr. William Patrick Wiggins , 67 of the Blythe Island Community passed away at his residence in the evening hours on Monday September 14th, 2009, after a courageous fight with cancer.
Mr. Wiggins was a Glynn County, Georgia native. He was born in Brunswick on February 27th, 1942 and is the son of the late Nelson William and Ruth Shearer Wiggins.
Mr. Wiggins was a 1960 graduate of Glynn Academy. He was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 28 years, Hilda Ammons Wiggins. Mr. Wiggins spent most of his adult life in the retail tire business. He was employed at City Tire, H&S Tire and was owner and operator of The Busy Corner / Pat Wiggins Tire on Norwich Street for about 7 years.
Mr. Wiggins is survived by his children, Patti (Jamie) Dickerson of Douglasville, Ga. and Conn (Laura) Wiggins of Brunswick; his sisters Sharon Cave of Scottsdale, Az. and Kim Coffay of Blue Ridge, Ga.; his brother Bill Wiggins of Jacksonville, Fl.; his grandchildren Brandon Dickerson and Lauren Perry both of Douglasville and Jennifer and Christopher Wiggins of Brunswick; and his great grandchild Brayden Perry of Douglasville., plus several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, September 17th, 2009 at the funeral home.
Private funeral services will be held in Palmetto Cemetery.
