Wylene Favors

Mrs. Wylene T. Favors age 71, of Griffin passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 at her daughter’s residence.

Mrs. Favors was born on February 16, 1943 in Griffin, Georgia to the late Hozell Turner and Lugene Owens. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ben Favors Jr.; children, Gaynell Andrews and Benjamin E. Favors; daughter-in-law, Annie Mae Favors; son-in-law, Henry Lee Andrews; sister-in-law, Eva Favors; uncles, Dewery Moss, Bobby Lee Harnett, James Edward Harnett; aunts, Betsy Moss, Frances Carter. Mrs. Wylene was a member of the East Depot High School Class of 1958.

Survivors include her children, Carsandra Favors, Dianne Favors (Charles) Stroud, Bruce Favors (Diane Greene), Celestine Favors (George Smith), Teresa Curtis, Deprecious Favors (Kenny) Palmore all of Griffin; sisters-in-law, Louise Giles (Andrew Giles), of Griffin, Mildred Dallis of Livonia, Michigan, grandchildren; Ricky Lee Andrews, Demetrice Coggins, Leeshana Copeland, all of Griffin, Shana Favors, Benjamin Favors, of Riverdale, Leetavious Favors, of McDonough, Kelton Owens and Kevin Owens of Alabama, Iquria Miles, Rodrigues Sand, Jalen Favors, Marionna Favors, Joshua Favors all of Griffin, and Jasmine Goggins, of Barnesville; brother, John Dallis of Michigan; daughter-in-law; Gwendolyn Favors, of Riverdale; one nephew, John Dallis Jr., of New York; Aunt, Janie Hardnett, of Atlanta; Best Friends, Annie Ruth Owens of Griffin, also, Ethel Ruth of Lagrange; Special friend, Jesse Bowman of Griffin.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wylene T. Favors will be conducted Thursday, Mar 13, 2013 at 1p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Reverend Charles Lovett, Jr. will officiate. Interment will follow in Griffin Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit the family Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
