Our History

Coastal Camden Funeral Home has been a part of our community since 1956, when Elmer Wainwright first opened the doors at 580 East King Avenue in Kingsland. Known then as Wainwright Funeral Home, it served local families with compassion and care for more than two decades until Mr. Wainwright’s passing in 1977.

In the years that followed, the funeral home continued to grow and evolve to meet the needs of our neighbors. In 2009, it became known as Coastal Camden Funeral Home—a name that reflects both our heritage and our deep connection to this community we’re honored to serve.



Today, our team carries forward the values that have guided us from the beginning: kindness, integrity, and a heartfelt commitment to caring for the families of Camden, Charlton, Glynn, and the surrounding counties.
